Overview

Western Digital is seeking a seasoned treasury professional to provide strategic leadership and support to the Treasurer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing worldwide treasury functions, including capital structure, cash management, funding, and liquidity forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and recommend capital structure strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize risk.
  • Manage debt covenant calculation, compliance, and reporting, as well as debt interest calculation and net interest forecasting.
  • Oversee global banking operations and domestic liquidity management to ensure efficient cash flow and minimize costs.
  • Maintain and develop bank and credit relationships, including rating agencies, to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Perform business and legal review of banking and other financial counterparty agreements and parent guarantees to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain cash management strategies, policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational controls and efficiencies.
  • Monitor cash position to cover cash commitments, manage WW subsidiary cash requirements, and coordinate movement of excess cash to and from investment accounts.
  • Coordinate with Tax and Legal teams and project manage worldwide repatriations and funding requirements.
  • Guide management of the investment portfolio within policy guidelines and recommend policy updates as needed.
  • Coordinate with Collections, AP, and other departments in preparation for US liquidity forecast and company's free cash flow forecast.
  • Responsible for treasury management system and lead treasury systems projects.
  • Oversee all systems and month-end reporting related to these activities.
  • Support operational needs as required by SOX, Accounting, and Tax.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in treasury operations with increasing responsibilities in a multinational organization.
  • Solid understanding of capital markets, fixed income markets, macroeconomics, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in developing and executing capital market transactions and strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to effectively manage cross-functional projects.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment and demonstrated abilities in prioritizing and managing multiple projects with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships and trust with a broad range of individuals, up to the Executive level.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely and to influence and negotiate on challenging projects.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented.
  • Experience with Bloomberg and other online information sources.
  • Education: BA/BS degree in relevant field; MBA preferred, CFA or CCM/CTP credentials highly desired.
