Job Summary

The University of Mary is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Lead Events Custodian. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of daily events and activities on campus, while also providing guidance and support to custodial staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate event setup and teardown, ensuring timely and efficient execution
  • Serve as a liaison between building occupants and custodial staff, resolving any issues or concerns
  • Provide leadership and guidance to custodial staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Perform custodial duties as needed, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical spaces and building support systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Complete work orders for campus community, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, supporting the overall mission and goals of the University of Mary
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or grounds work preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of safety equipment usage, proper cleaning methods, and safety measures essential to the work environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds
