We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide top-notch medical support and professional nursing care to patients undergoing the detoxification process.

Our ideal candidate would be passionate about helping others and have experience working in mental/behavioral health and substance abuse settings.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with a minimum of Associate Degree
  • Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Experience working in mental/behavioral health, substance abuse setting required
  • Minimum of 1 year internship in related field
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Proof of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or obtained
  • KIPU knowledge preferred

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Pre-screen new patients for admissions suitability based on assessments
  • Perform vigilant observation and screenings for substance toxicity
  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications accurately
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient records
  • Specialize in pain management treatment
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Knowledge of addiction, recovery, and infection control

Essential skills for this role include:

  • Previous experience with substance use disorders preferred
  • Proficiency in IV & Phlebotomy
  • Familiarity with drug classifications and medication protocols
  • Knowledge of CARF, DCF, and Joint Commission Standards preferred
  • Strong understanding of infection control and risk management
