Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team as an After School Program Assistant/Enrichment Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a positive impact on the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of engaging curriculum for after school programs, including enrichment and physical activities.
  • Provide academic support and homework assistance to program participants.
  • Escort children to the after school program and ensure their safety at all times.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment, modeling positive attitudes, behaviors, and language.
  • Actively supervise and ensure student safety during program activities.
  • Help maintain accurate records, including attendance and daily sign out signatures.
  • Assist in the setup and distribution of daily snacks and project materials.
  • Ensure that all after school spaces, materials, and equipment are left clean and organized.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Background in education, mentoring, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.
  • Working knowledge of child development and ability to apply this knowledge in the classroom.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects, with strong organizational skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team environment and effectively interact with all levels of management, parents, and volunteers.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance.
  • Prior experience working with children in an organized setting.
  • Judaic knowledge or willingness to acquire.
  • Understanding of DHS regulations or willingness to acquire.
