Job Summary

Pacific Spice Company is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Quality Control Manager in conducting pre-op and post-op verifications to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that products meet standard specifications and customer requirements.
  • Identify and report any deviations or non-compliances to Department Heads/Leads and the Quality Control Manager to ensure prompt corrective action.
  • Ensure that microbiological testing of blend production batches is completed in a timely manner and that production samples are pulled as needed.
  • Enter quality control information into our database, maintain accurate records, and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Cross-train with Quality Control Technicians to ensure a comprehensive understanding of all quality control processes.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management to support the quality control function.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of two years' related experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles, including GMP and HACCP.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in an industry regulated by the FDA is a plus.
