Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated individuals to become part of our team at Petroleum Marketing Group, Inc. in the role of Overnight Cashier. Role Summary
The Overnight Cashier is responsible for handling cash transactions with customers and ensuring the cleanliness of the store, including restrooms.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operating the cash register by scanning items, recording prices, and displaying the total cost of purchases, including tax and discounts.
- Providing change and issuing receipts or tickets to customers.
- Documenting cash received and preparing transaction reports.
- Verifying cash register tape totals against cash on hand.
- Informing customers about product prices and features.
- Restocking shelves and maintaining the organization of beverage and food areas.
- Ensuring cleanliness in public restrooms.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this position require the employee to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands for handling, reach with arms, and communicate effectively. The employee is frequently required to walk and occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- Experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar sales role.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, such as cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong mathematical abilities.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- A focus on customer satisfaction.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Compensation
Salary is determined based on experience, starting at $14 per hour plus shift differential.
