About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced educator who is passionate about teaching and positively contributing to the lives of children in special education.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse learning needs and be committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide special education support for 20-35 students in a high school setting
  • Manage a caseload of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), communicating goals and accommodations to educators, families, and students
  • Maintain data tracking for individual progress toward IEP goals
  • Update and implement IEP documentation, including annual meetings
  • Problem solve and communicate to advocate for student needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education in the state of Colorado
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create and implement individualized education plans
  • Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
  • Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
  • US Work Authorization as Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Crisis prevention (CPI) training
  • CPR certification
  • Previous special education teaching experience
