We are seeking a skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves providing essential care in a dynamic neonatal environment.
Location:
Tucson, Arizona
Duration:
This position is ongoing while we are in the hiring process, typically ranging from 6 months to 1 year, with a requirement of 10 shifts per month.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification: NNP Certified with relevant experience.
- NRP Certification: Required.
Schedule:
- NNPs will be present in-house 24/7.
- Neonatologists are available in-house from 8 AM to 5 PM and are on call during the night.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for the NICU and attend high-risk deliveries.
- NNPs may assist in the newborn nursery if they have previously assessed the infant; however, the neonatologists primarily manage well-baby care.
Shift Details:
- Shift times are from 7 AM to 7 AM.
- Annual Births: Approximately 2,000.
- Average Daily Census: 9.5 in the newborn nursery; 10.8 in the NICU.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage deliveries, NICU care, newborn nursery, and consultations.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Cerner, PremiEHR, and TPN is preferred.
- NICU Level: II with a capacity of 15 beds.
Licensing Requirements:
- Candidates must hold a valid license in Arizona.
- Privileges typically granted for 60 days; candidates with clean records are preferred.
