- Assign correct medical records and account numbers to ensure accurate billing and clinical information.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and financial information.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and registration processes.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations, laws, and industry standards related to patient registration and medical records.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical setting or customer service environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills.
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM and maintain accuracy.
- Medical terminology knowledge or ability to learn.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Medical terminology knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
