As a key member of the global medical affairs team, the Global Head, Scientific Communication will play a critical role in driving and overseeing the development and execution of the company's medical, clinical, and scientific data dissemination strategy. This strategy includes tactics for external communications through publications, medical and scientific congresses, posters, platform presentations, manuscripts, and medical education tools.

The ideal candidate will have experience and a proven track record of success in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in publication planning, medical communications, and medical affairs activities. They will be able to interpret and critique scientific and medical literature, communicate complex scientific and medical data, and work effectively in a matrix environment.

The Global Head, Scientific Communication will be responsible for setting the strategic and tactical plan of the scientific communication function, establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with clinical, medical affairs, and business leads, and managing a team to execute on the development of global publication and medical communication plans.

Key responsibilities include managing the scientific communication budget, ensuring accurate and balanced statements and conclusions in publications, and providing medical input to brand teams regarding strategy, tactics, and development of claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong organizational skills, business planning, and previous managerial experience.
