The CIP Operator position is responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment and work areas, ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and 5S standards are met. This role requires working on site at the Council Bluffs location, reporting to the Sanitation Team Leader. The work environment can vary from cold, hot, wet, humid, and high noise levels.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Clean Equipment: Inspect equipment such as kettles, mixers, and blenders to ensure they are in good working condition. Clean and sanitize equipment according to set procedures using high-pressure hoses.
- Obtain Necessary Tools: Obtain all necessary tools to clean in place, including chemicals and utensils.
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out: Perform Lock Out Tag Out on equipment to ensure safety.
- Ensure Electrical Control Panels are Covered: Ensure all electrical control panels are covered to prevent accidents.
- Disassemble and Reassemble Equipment: Manually disassemble equipment, clean and clear the area of all trash and debris, and reassemble all equipment including parts and guards.
- Perform General Housekeeping: Perform general housekeeping following 5S standards.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum 3 months' Sanitation or related experience preferred.
- Certifications: LOTO certified and PIT certified, with the ability to maintain certification.
