Job Specifications

As a Travel Ultrasound Technologist at Porter Hospital, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, gynecological, obstetrical, and transvaginal sonograms.
  • Executing small parts imaging such as thyroid, breast, and scrotal assessments.
  • Conducting ultrasound-guided procedures, including biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from a JRCERT accredited radiologic program.
  • Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography.
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Indiana.
  • Post-primary Sonography certification in areas such as Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Pediatric Sonography is preferred.
Work Schedule

This position involves day shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with an afternoon rotation that includes on-call responsibilities.

Additional Information

The Ultrasound Technologist is expected to maintain a state license as a general radiographer and uphold the standards set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). You will be tasked with providing timely and accurate diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients, following departmental protocols and under the guidance of a Radiologist.
