Job Title: Swim Instructor

Are you passionate about teaching others how to swim? Do you enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities? We are seeking a qualified Swim Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City.

Job Summary:

The Swim Instructor will be responsible for teaching swim lessons to participants of all ages and skill levels. This includes creating lesson plans, teaching classes, and ensuring the safety of all participants.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach swim lessons to participants of all ages and skill levels
  • Create lesson plans and teach classes
  • Ensure the safety of all participants
  • Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and management
  • Maintain a positive and supportive attitude
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be certified as a YMCA Swim Instructor within six months of employment
  • Must have a current YMCA Lifeguard or YMCA Instructor Safety Assistant (YISA) certification
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with participants, staff, and management
  • Must have a positive and supportive attitude
