Boat Inspector and Decontaminator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Boat Inspector and Decontaminator to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a key member of our invasive species prevention team, you will be responsible for inspecting boats entering the state and providing public outreach on aquatic invasive species.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect boats entering the state for invasive species such as zebra/quagga mussels
• Provide public outreach on aquatic invasive species
• Work independently or in pairs to inspect boats
• Perform boat decontamination procedures according to state regulations

Requirements:

• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Experience working with boats, trailers, power washers, small engines, and/or heavy equipment
• Good driving record
