Role Overview:
  • Assist customers face-to-face by guiding them in selecting the right parts, suggesting additional products, promoting special deals, and ensuring they are informed about our complete inventory.
  • Retrieve purchased parts from our stock. If a specific item is unavailable, check its status and provide the customer with an estimated delivery time.
  • Handle incoming calls, providing price quotes and product information while documenting customer details.
  • Coordinate the daily shipment, delivery, or collection of orders.
  • Regularly monitor and manage 'will-call' and 'back-order' files, arranging returns to suppliers or restocking items that are not immediately required.
  • Support the parts sales associate at the service counter as needed.
  • Collaborate with technicians to discuss necessary repairs and explore cost-effective options.
  • Order out-of-stock parts with approval from the Parts Manager.
  • Notify both the customer and the Service Department upon the arrival of ordered parts.
  • Accurately process cash and credit transactions, ensuring the integrity of the cash register.
  • Assist in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the parts department.
  • Receive and stock incoming inventory, verifying contents against purchase orders.
  • Participate in scheduled inventory audits as directed by your supervisor.
  • Ensure that product displays are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing to customers.
  • Complete all required training sessions as instructed.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a diverse customer base.
  • Prior experience in parts procurement, automotive technology, and dealership products, or a proven ability to quickly learn these concepts.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and computerized inventory management tools, or a willingness to learn.
  • Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficient time management.
  • Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor and a strong work ethic.
