Position Overview: A prominent client of Talascend is seeking a skilled Cost & Inventory Analyst to effectively prepare and scrutinize cost accounting data, providing essential financial support to both business partners and management. This role is pivotal in acting as a strategic ally to various functional areas while ensuring the precision of financial and operational outcomes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or a combination of higher education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting within a substantial manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in researching, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data with accuracy and timeliness.
- Experience in inventory assessments and controls, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
- Expertise in SAP FI & CO module, along with a solid understanding of large ERP systems.
- Familiarity with SAP Business Objects is preferred but not mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Standards.
- Exhibits strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret and apply understanding of key financial indicators to enhance business decisions.
- Effectively plans and prioritizes tasks to meet commitments aligned with organizational objectives.
- Efficiently secures and deploys resources.
- Builds trust and confidence with others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
Core Responsibilities:
- Engagement in critical month-end closing processes.
- Preparation of monthly reporting metrics for presentation to local and business area management.
- Analysis and interpretation of operational results, providing specific recommendations for cost reduction and profitability enhancement.
- Preparation and analysis of cost variance reports and commentary.
- Conducting stock evaluations, including maintenance and consumption analysis of parts.
- Performing financial analysis of investment proposals, preparing capital requests, and providing appropriate ROI documentation.
- Supporting the forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Implementation and enforcement of company policies and controls.
- Regular collaboration with technical support departments regarding controlling and inventory processes.
