Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / Frog Fitter to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and execute tasks based on blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Utilize grinding, welding, and power tools effectively.
  • Finish grind, weld, fit, and assemble steel, iron, and manganese components as required.
  • Safely operate jib and overhead cranes.
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with specified tolerances.
  • Assemble products efficiently and within designated timelines.
  • Follow the production schedule diligently.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental protocols established by the company.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and materials effectively.
  • Regular lifting of weights up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity for close and distance vision, along with depth perception.
  • Auditory capabilities relevant to job functions.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in welding and grinding operations is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with forklift and crane operations is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints is preferred.
  • Experience with measuring instruments is beneficial.
  • Basic math skills for calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Entry-level candidates may also be considered.
