Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Management Project Manager to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our Asset Management Office, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating various projects and functions to ensure the effective management of our assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to improve and develop the Virtual Asset Tracking (VAT) system.
  • Lead and track statewide annual inventory projects and VAT system usage.
  • Communicate and train asset management statewide inventory coordinators and AMO team staff on daily job functions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for VAT RFID system and related CAPPS interfaces.
  • Ensure stakeholder awareness and compliance with Comptroller of Public Accounts policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and review special reports on program area key measures and inventory status.
  • Perform property management duties, including asset tracking, tagging, and updating system records.
  • Track and provide regular updates on project purchase orders to ensure budget compliance.
  • Assist in program analysis and make recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Asset Management programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Skilled in coordinating, communicating, and managing inventory project activities.
  • Ability to use critical thinking to analyze and identify issues.
  • Skills in use of automated inventory system performance and reporting.
  • Ability to lead teams and assign tasks for completion of goals or projects.
  • Knowledge of project management theory and practices.
Working Conditions:

This position works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Language Skills:

English language proficiency required.
