Job Title: Bus Fleet Coordinator

Stony Brook University is seeking a skilled Public Transportation Operator to join our team. As a Public Transportation Operator, you will transport passengers and materials on university property using a full-size passenger bus.

You will conduct regular vehicle inspections, monitor gauges, and refuel the tank as necessary. Additionally, you will supervise loading and unloading of passengers and personal property, post manifests, and maintain accurate records.

The ideal candidate must possess a valid CDL license Class B with Passenger and Air Brakes and 19A certification. A clean motor vehicle record is also essential.

This is a temporary full-time position (40 hours per week) and part-time position (20 hours per week), with the possibility of night and weekend work. FLSA Nonexempt positions are eligible for overtime provisions.

Salary and Benefits

Hiring Rate: $23.13 per hour, including overtime provisions. This rate reflects the value we place on your expertise and commitment to providing exceptional transportation services.
