CE Instructor- Certified Nurse Aide Program

Austin Community College is seeking a qualified CE Instructor- Certified Nurse Aide Program to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and teaching CNA curriculum, educational programs, courses, experiences, and services that will directly aid students in achieving educational objectives.
Job Summary:The CE Instructor- Certified Nurse Aide Program will be responsible for teaching courses as assigned, advising students, periodically examining and informing each student of their progress, preparing and administering examinations, researching and recommending the revision, deletion, or addition of programs and courses, participating in evaluations of curriculum and instruction, and participating in the evaluation of instructional materials.
Responsibilities:- Teach courses as assigned, correlating with the catalog descriptions and course outlines, and in a manner designed to assist the student to achieve the specific objectives of the course.
- Advise students of requirements established by the instructor for meeting course objectives.
- Periodically examine and inform each student of their progress toward achieving course objectives.
- Prepare and administer examinations by-program established for the subject area of assignment.
- Research and recommend the revision, deletion, or addition of programs and courses to reflect the developmental changes occurring with the subject area.
- Participate in evaluations of curriculum and instruction.
- Participate in the evaluation of instructional materials.
- Medical Spanish.
- Ability to teach to students who are primarily Spanish speakers.
- Accepted principles, practices, and trends of program served.
- Applicable sections of the State Education Code.
- Curricula.
- Knowledge of policies, regulations, educational master plan.
- Labor market conditions and demographic composition of community's population.
- Principles and techniques of teaching.
- Requirements for academic subjects.
- Communicate both orally and in writing in Spanish and English effectively.
- Establish effective relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the business community.
- Interpret, apply, and explain regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Plan and organize the programs and activities assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
- Effectively using interpersonal and written communications skills.
The work environment is a standard office or similar environment. The employee is subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to pounds is required.
Pay Rate:This hourly rate varies depending on assignment.
