You will be responsible for developing and executing internal and carrier test plans to ensure interoperability and implementation of product lines and customer legacy networks.

As a subject matter expert, you will interpret customer requirements specifications and provide guidelines for customer modernization efforts.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Working closely with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide network architecture support.
  2. Developing strong understanding of SONET, DWDM, ROADM, and other (n)OADM configurations, architecture, and provisioning.
  3. Understanding Carrier Ethernet architecture and provisioning.
  4. Developing test plans for customer network architecture, interoperability, and ensuring equipment functionality and security.
  5. Preparing implementation plans based on testing results and providing expert engineering support for deployment.
  6. Ability to work in a lab environment, read network diagrams, and manipulate fiber optic patches.
  7. Preparing technical documentation, presenting information to customers, and remotely assisting with troubleshooting and installation.
  8. Providing weekly updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with OTN, troubleshooting, technical writing, test plans, EMOPs/Scott.

Security Clearance is required.

Knowledge and experience with Layer-0, Layer-1, and fiber optics, including ISP and OSP.

BS degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or similar technical field of study, or equivalent experience.

Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 (IAT Level II or higher) certification.

Candidate will have a diverse Telecommunications background, strong hands-on technical experience, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
