Cardiovascular Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab professional to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.
- Prepare patients for procedures, reviewing medical history, positioning patients, and cleaning/shaving/testing sites as necessary.
- Interpret, describe, and report test results, recognizing recording errors and artifacts and taking appropriate action.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings in patient condition.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab areas, ensuring proper functioning and reporting potential problems or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
- BLS Provider certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following certifications: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist, or Cardiac Sonographer, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
- None required for work experience.
- Advanced Life Support certification.
- Approved Local Exception.
- One year of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience.
- One year of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technician.
- Travelers must be willing to travel 50+ miles from permanent residence.
