We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory therapy department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner Certificate issued by the Texas Medical Board.
- RRT certification issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- 1 year critical care experience required.
- Must be able to work nights and rotating weekends as this is a night shift.
