Job Summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly skilled Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Office of Equal Opportunity and Access, you will play a critical role in ensuring a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate reports of alleged discrimination and harassment, providing prompt and effective responses to complaints
  • Prepare investigative reports and communicate findings to involved parties and relevant University administrators
  • Assist with the provision of resources and support services for employees and students
  • Maintain a database of reports of discrimination and harassment, develop reports, assess trends, and identify areas of concern across the University
  • Review and revise policies and procedures related to discrimination and harassment to ensure compliance with applicable law and best practices
Requirements

Candidates must have advanced knowledge and comprehension of Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, ADA, VEVRAA, VAWA, Clery, and all other related federal policies. A demonstrated ability to effectively investigate and apply conflict resolution strategies specifically to discrimination and harassment complaints within employment settings is also required.

Additionally, candidates should have a full understanding of concepts and best practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as a demonstrated ability to present relevant topics to various audiences.

Minimally requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.

The Pennsylvania State University offers a competitive salary range of $76,700.00 - $115,100.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
