We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at The University of Maryland Spine Program. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with spinal disorders, working closely with well-respected spine surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to diagnose and treat patients with spinal disorders
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and laboratory tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication regimens and invasive procedures
- Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and health promotion activities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical pathways and protocols
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Maryland
- Experience in orthopaedic or spine care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
