Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at LifeBridge Health. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages by utilizing age-appropriate venipuncture and micro-collection techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood specimens from pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Ensure accurate and correct test samples
- Facilitate collection, accessioning, and transportation of clinical laboratory specimens
- Communicate test results to physician's offices and hospital associates
- Function as a front office for the laboratory, registering patients and ordering tests as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy program (preferred within 6 months of hire)
- Less than 2 years of experience
- ASCP PBT - Phlebotomist certification
- CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider certification
