Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team at Alfa Laval. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run production processes according to Safety & Quality standards and improve them as per business demand.
  • Accurately and consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the specific process.
  • Receive daily work assignments from the Team Leader/Team Manager and execute production with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and blueprints as a base.
  • Report any deviations (Safety, Quality, Parts, Equipment, etc.) to Status Boards immediately and update the Team Leader/Team Manager.
  • Participate in Daily Status Board Meetings by explaining deviations and proposing solutions.
  • Review and suggest improvements for SOPs.
  • Identify and eliminate waste opportunities (time, motion, transportation, inventories, etc.) and drive KAIZEN improvements.
  • Engage in daily and weekly 5S routines to achieve high 5S standards and sustain them.
  • Constantly look for cross-training opportunities within different manufacturing processes and better ways to add value.
  • Use downtime efficiently to learn new processes and run improvements from Status Board activities.
Requirements
  • High School or GED minimum.
  • Crane and Forklift certifications, nice to have.
  • Some experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Able to read drawings, blueprints, manufacturing orders, etc.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
