The Role:
Yamhill County is seeking two dedicated professionals for the role of Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)/Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician. In this capacity, you will engage extensively with the community, delivering crisis intervention and de-escalation services in collaboration with law enforcement, criminal justice partners, and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives.
- Contribute to program planning and development.
- Engage in collaborative documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) with clients.
- May involve care coordination and case management.
- Provide crisis services and skills training.
- Deliver or participate in consultation, in-service training, and educational programs.
- Perform necessary administrative tasks as directed by the program supervisor/manager.
Position Classification:
This position may be filled at the Behavioral Health Clinician level.
Compensation:
Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician: $6078- $7702/month (DOE)
Behavioral Health Clinician: $5830- $7136/month (DOE)
Work Schedule:
Available schedules may include swing shifts or overnight shifts.

Qualifications:
An MSW or a master's degree in a social services field from an accredited institution is required, along with:
For Behavioral Health Clinician:
- One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I or equivalent.
- Must qualify as a QMHP or CADC to work in respective fields.
- Licensing may be required.
For Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician:
- Three years of post-master's experience.
- Must hold an active professional license in Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) or be a non-licensed QMHP with dual credentialing as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I, II, or III).
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of community mental health service techniques and demonstrate the following abilities:
- Comprehend the behavior of individuals under stress.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, community members, and various agencies.
- Interpret community mental health and chemical dependency services.
- Prepare concise and comprehensive client treatment and progress records.
Proficiency in typing and computer skills is essential for collaborative documentation. Excellent communication skills, dependability, organization, self-direction, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also crucial.
