Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced diesel mechanic to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a diesel mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections on diesel-powered vehicles, including trucks, buses, and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, including engine, transmission, and brake systems
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts, such as filters, belts, and hoses
  • Test and adjust systems to ensure proper functioning and safety
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  • Communicate with other team members, including drivers and supervisors, to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of work
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification or degree in diesel mechanics preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
