Senior Collector

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Collector to join our team at Loyola University Medical Center. This role ensures accurate and timely follow-up on insurance and self-pay payments due for physician services.

As the lead collector, the Senior Collector manages denied or rejected claims, prioritizes work queues, and conducts thorough follow-ups to resolve claims to a zero balance.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Epic and/or IDX systems and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities include resolving denied/rejected insurance claims, conducting timely follow-up, documenting collection activities, and working to minimize write-offs.

The Senior Collector will also assist the manager with training and guiding collections staff, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.

Additional duties include updating Epic registration and rebilling claims, coordinating with patients for benefits and self-pay arrangements, and resolving credit balances.

This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with teams to resolve insurance issues.

Requirements include a high school diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education, and 3-5 years of previous job-related experience.
