As a Radiology Technologist in our Ambulatory Care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in operating radiologic equipment, performing routine diagnostic procedures, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays, adhering to established procedures and safety standards.
- Follow prescribed protocols for operating radiologic equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Instruct patients on procedures and provide clear instructions for their comfort and safety.
- Examine radiologic film for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
- Develop and process radiologic film to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
- Deliver film to requesters for reading and interpretation, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Maintain the x-ray exam room, ensuring it is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
- Stock medical and radiological supplies, and perform minor adjustments to radiologic equipment as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and notify vendors of equipment failures, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Disseminate x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Schedule radiologic exams to be performed at outside labs, as necessary, and gather x-rays with physician interpretation for radiologist over-read.
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Completion of an accredited radiology program or diploma program through AnMed Health.
- Required certifications/registrations/licenses: SCRQSA, RSQA, and ARRT certification for Radiology.
- New graduates must obtain and submit a Permanent SCRQSA license within 30 days of passing the ARRT registry.
- One year of physician practice experience preferred.
