RN Weekend Nurse Supervisor

Bethesda Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our team. As a Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring that residents receive high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Assign staff according to policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Support teamwork and encourage staff to provide resident care in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete rounds to assess residents and resident care, identifying and reporting concerns and needs to appropriate staff members.
- Receive reports from assigned charge nurses and complete shift reports for the Director of Nursing.
- Manage staff and discipline as necessary, promoting a positive and constructive work environment.
- Empower staff members by promoting responsibility, accountability, and autonomy to enhance resident care.
- Ensure standards of patient care are utilized and delegate responsibilities as defined by policy or necessary to ensure appropriate resident care.
- Participate in the direct delivery of patient care, answering resident call lights and assisting with resident ADLs as needed.
- Complete rounds to ensure that residents are receiving the appropriate nursing care in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe, comfortable, clean environment is maintained.
- Complete monthly QAPI, daily nursing labor forms for Administration, and monitor pharmacy recommendations monthly.
- Attend Team Leader meetings and CNA meetings as required.
- Maintain working knowledge of emergency procedures and demonstrate awareness of safety issues relevant to patient and employee safety.
- Handle crisis situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner.
- Current RN license in the state of employment.
- Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred.
- Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience.
- Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with residents, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage time, and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary.
- Ability to transfer and move residents who vary in ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary.
- Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance as necessary.
- Manual dexterity, coordination, and skillful use of hands when working with residents and equipment.
- Ability to perform necessary documentation.
- Visual acuity.
- Ability to manage a diversity of activities.
