Chemical Manufacturing Technician at Spray Products Corporation

Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Chemical Manufacturing Technician will play a crucial role in the preparation and blending of chemical materials, operation of production machinery, and accurate documentation of manufacturing processes. Adherence to all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards is essential.

Primary Duties:
  • Assist in the preparation and blending of chemical materials and operate production machinery
  • Unload materials from rail cars and tank trucks
  • Utilize forklifts for material staging
  • Complete documentation for production and quality assurance
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the production area and storage facilities
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain vigilance regarding chemical safety
  • Conduct scheduled inventory counts and perform other assigned tasks
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Availability for overtime and night shifts
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within a chemical production environment

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Basic proficiency in hand tool usage

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to work in a chemical manufacturing facility
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering heavy containers
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions
