Travel Nurse Med Surg RN Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical RN to join our team as a travel nurse in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. This 13-week assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality patient care.

Job Requirements:

As a Medical Surgical RN, you will conduct patient assessments, prioritize data collection, and provide ongoing care as ordered by a physician. You will also document patient findings, educate patients and their families, and participate in discharge planning.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures.
  • Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

This travel nurse position requires the ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. You should be able to lift 20 pounds easily and up to 50 pounds at times. You will work in a fast-paced environment treating patients who may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Requirements:
  • BLS
  • 2 Years of experience
