Job Overview

Actalent is seeking a skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team. As a Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Testing and Analysis: Perform a range of tests on production batches, raw materials, and competitive products using techniques such as pH, viscosity, density, solids, titrations, and degree of flash point.
  • Database Management: Manage a database for sample, production retains, and documentation from production.
  • Process Support: Provide support to the manufacturing processes by giving guidance to adjust batch formulations if a batch is not within product specifications.
  • Certificate Preparation: Prepare certificates of analysis for customers upon request.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain lab instruments and operations equipment to known standards.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare sample batches for customers and sales team.
  • Stability Testing: Perform stability testing on laboratory and manufacturing samples.
  • External Communication: Communicate with outside laboratories for external tests.
  • Product Label Confirmation: Serve as a resource for correct product label confirmation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 6-12 months of experience in a chemistry function or laboratory setting.
  • Skills: High attention to detail, proactive, process-driven/organized, and strong communication skills.
