Job Summary:The Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a medical-surgical unit.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment, as well as stand for long periods.
