  • Follow through until issues are resolved or handled by the appropriate person

Additional Responsibilities for Clinical Interns:
  • Develop a therapeutic relationship with each client and provide individual, group, or family therapy as needed
  • Maintain ongoing frequent contact with other assigned OhioGuidestone professionals, parents, or outside agency professionals assigned to a case
  • Assume a strong advocacy role for clients and make recommendations for clinical and support services needed upon discharge
  • Actively participate in all treatment conferences and meetings for clients
  • Complete all paperwork required by the agency within designated time frames
  • Participate in agency and community meetings as needed
Performance and Physical Requirements:
  • Work environment can include an agency office, school-based setting, or in the community, including clients' homes
  • English reading and writing skills required
  • Interact verbally with coworkers and representatives from outside agencies
  • Confidentiality required
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Works flexible hours and is available for crisis management by phone
  • Computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic database usage, as well as basic typing
Qualifications:

Required education is working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. OhioGuidestone requires applicants to complete a pre-employment screening process upon receipt of an offer of employment. We require and cover the cost of a fingerprint background screening, physical, Tuberculosis test, and drug screen after an employment offer is made. Any employment offer is contingent upon receipt of all satisfactory pre-employment screenings.
