Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU


Shift: Night Shift | 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)


Role Summary:

We are in search of a committed and proficient Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) during night shifts. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage in a vibrant and nurturing atmosphere where you will significantly contribute to the care of our most delicate patients.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Administer respiratory treatments to neonates and pediatric patients in the NICU/PICU.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient care outcomes.
  • Execute advanced procedures including intubation, ventilation, and other respiratory therapies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes using the Cerner charting system.
  • Adapt to facility needs by floating within your scope of practice.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, with a preference for pediatric care.
  • Required national certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS.
  • Experience in NICU/PICU settings is preferred.
  • First-time travelers considered on a case-by-case basis with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience.
  • Availability to start within a reasonable timeframe is necessary.
Additional Information:
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
  • On-Call Requirement: None.
  • Floating to Sister Facilities: Not required.
  • Block Schedule: Flexible scheduling options available.
  • Pending State License: Accepted with proof of application.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly, with potential for 48 hours (overtime applicable after 48 hours).
  • Scrub Color: Any color, must be child-friendly and free of logos.
  • Parking Costs: Offsite parking available at $35/month; onsite options vary.
Vaccination Requirements:
  • COVID-19 vaccination and current booster required (no exemptions).
  • Flu vaccine status: unknown.
