Job Overview:

This role is responsible for supervising Registered Nurse 2 staff and contracted nurses assigned to the shift at the Child Study and Treatment Center. The position supports the mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives of the State of Washington.


About the Role:

As a Child Psychiatric Nurse Supervisor, you will assist the Director of Nursing after-hours to manage and direct all aspects of 24-hour, 7 day a week nursing care for children and adolescent psychiatric patients. This includes planning and directing all nursing functions in accordance with professional nursing standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise RN2 staff and contracted nurses
  • Assist Director of Nursing after-hours
  • Plan and direct nursing functions
  • Ensure compliance with professional nursing standards

Requirements:
  • Possession of a current Washington State license to practice as a registered nurse
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional nursing experience

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $83,760 - $107,256 per year, based on the State of Washington's compensation scale. Evening and night shifts include a shift differential, and opportunities performed on site may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay. Free ORCA cards are available for Pierce County employees.
