- Patient Care: Aids in delivering routine patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting daily living activities and nutritional needs.
- Inventory Management: Responsible for ordering and maintaining unit supplies, ensuring cost-effective practices.
- Communication: Facilitates clear communication among team members and patients, ensuring information is relayed accurately.
- Customer Service: Provides friendly assistance to patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Documentation: Maintains accurate records of patient care and unit activities, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Monitoring: Observes patient heart rates and rhythms, reporting any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adheres to professional standards and hospital policies, maintaining patient confidentiality.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- CPR certification must be obtained and maintained.
- Proficient in computer systems and software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
