Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales Assistance

  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to deliver technical and product expertise.

Pricing and Estimation

  • Engage directly with clients to verify technical specifications for custom orders involving natural stone and wood.
  • Manage and prioritize inquiries related to custom orders through the Price Request Dashboard.
  • Conduct material takeoffs and analyze historical data to formulate budget estimates.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to gather pricing and lead time information.
  • Negotiate costs with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Generate detailed itemized estimates for the sales team.
  • Present cost-effective solutions when discussing pricing with clients.

Validation

  • Review and confirm pricing, specifications, and timelines for custom orders.
  • Collaborate with the CAD Team to create production packages for custom projects.
  • Schedule necessary templating for custom projects.
  • Oversee sample management processes.

Procurement

  • Validate custom orders by comparing Purchase Orders, Supplier Proformas, and Production Packages.
  • Conduct quality control inspections upon project receipt.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Evaluate workflows and assist the Director of Finished Goods in developing standard operating procedures for process enhancements.
  • Provide support for procurement activities as required.
  • Foster supplier relationships by gathering material specifications and warranty information.
  • Participate in trade shows as necessary.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in interior design or construction management is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in interior design, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to interpret architectural plans and estimate construction projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in pricing stone architectural projects preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on diplomacy and client relations.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous. Experience with Sales Force and Stone Profits is a plus.
