Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instrumental Music Instructor to join our team at Lee College. The successful candidate will teach freshman and sophomore-level Instrumental Music courses, lead rehearsals and concerts of large ensembles, and participate in community projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Instrumental Music courses, including Music Literature, Sophomore Music Theory, and Jazz Ensemble
  • Lead rehearsals and concerts of large ensembles, including the Baytown Symphony Orchestra
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating technology and encouraging student participation
  • Maintain accurate student records and submit required reports to the Admissions & Records Office
  • Provide guidance and support to students, including office hours and Blackboard Collaborate sessions
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Music or a related field, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Music
  • Prior online teaching experience and certification preferred
  • Blackboard Learning Management System experience a plus
