Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Understanding of sterile procedures

• Education
High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Licensure

Must be MRI registered.

One of the following certifications is required: (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), Certified Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)(ARRT)).

For non-registered MRI Technologists:

Required certifications include: (Radiologic Technologist by the State and ARRT(R) Registry, or Radiology Student Permit by the State and ARRT registry eligible. ARRT(R) registry and Radiologic Technologist License must be obtained within six months.

ARRT(MR), ARMRIT, or CAMRT registration must be achieved within two years from the date of job entry.)
