Key Responsibilities- Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging Equipment: You will be responsible for operating the MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Knowledge of MRI Procedures and Technology: You will need to have a strong understanding of MRI procedures and technology to ensure that you are operating the equipment safely and effectively.
- Image Acquisition and Processing: You will be responsible for acquiring and processing images, including selecting the appropriate imaging techniques and operating the console and peripheral hardware.
- Patient Care and Safety: You will need to ensure that patients are properly positioned and prepared for imaging procedures, and that they are safe during the imaging process.
- Study Documentation and Reporting: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate study documentation and reporting any issues or concerns to the radiologist.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: You will need to perform routine maintenance on the MRI equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Registration as a MR Technologist: You must be registered as a MR Technologist by the A.R.R.T. or ARMRIT.
- CPR Certification: You must have current CPR certification.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced MRI environment is preferred.
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, sit for prolonged periods of time, and stand and walk frequently. Business casual or scrubs are the expected dress attire.
