Nutrition Therapist

Job Summary

This is a full-time Registered Dietitian position that primarily works Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm, approximately 40 total hours per week. No regular evening, weekend or holiday hours are required. The successful candidate will serve across our continuum of programs but primarily in Ankeny, Polk City, and Des Moines, and may provide consulting services to other providers as well.

Job Responsibilities

In partnership with other members of the transdisciplinary rehabilitation team and under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer/Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, the Registered Dietitian manages all aspects of medical nutrition therapy for individuals served, and partners with the Culinary Operations Manager on all aspects of the dietary services department. Plans and conducts food service or nutritional programs, including counseling, to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease.

Qualified applicants must have:

Registered Dietitian (RD) credentials with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
Eligibility to obtain licensure as a dietitian in the State of Iowa
Ability to maintain an Iowa driver's license to periodically drive on On With Life's behalf; minimal travel required
