Job Title: Big Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Engineer to join our team at Laansu. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data systems, services, and platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust and scalable data pipelines to support various business needs.
  • Provide expert-level guidance and technical leadership to the data engineering and software development teams.
  • Explore and recommend innovative tools, technologies, and platforms to enhance data infrastructure.
  • Analyze the scope of work and provide estimated development timelines.
  • Document design decisions and technical details.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10 years of experience designing and developing solutions for large-scale data systems, services, and platforms.
  • 5 years of experience with SQL, database design/structures, ETL/ELT design patterns, and data mart structures.
  • 3 years of experience implementing modern data solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • 5+ years of experience working on Azure Platform.
  • 2 years of experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Spark SQL, Cosmos DB, and Delta Lake House.
  • 5+ years of experience with unstructured and semi-structured data.
  • Experience with data lake and data lakehouse concepts and design patterns.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Azure ML or Azure Open AI.
  • Experience in data management and data governance.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate with customers and management.
