We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Rapid City Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Maintain exam rooms and ensure cleanliness.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatment, examination, and testing.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments.
  • Ensure appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations.
  • Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination.
  • Maintains patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
  • Responds to and refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.

Requirements:

  • Current nursing license required.
  • Previous clinic experience is not required.
  • New grads welcome as this is a great learning experience.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

Combination of office and exam settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Physical/Mental Demands:

Varied activities, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Requires full range of body motion, including handling and assisting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
