MacKay Sposito is in search of a dedicated and skilled Mechanical/Electrical Powerhouse Inspector to oversee the inspection and compliance of hydroelectric powerhouse systems. This role demands proficiency in interpreting project specifications and blueprints, ensuring that all operations adhere to established standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough on-site inspections and documentation of powerhouse systems.
- Communicate non-compliance issues directly with contractors in real-time.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders.

- Candidates should possess a journeyman wireman, millwright, or craftsperson certification, or hold a degree in engineering or construction management.
- Ability to work independently and under the guidance of a project manager.
- Strong documentation skills, including daily reports and photographic evidence.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with various project teams.
- In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
- Expertise in confined space protocols and crane rigging.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A degree in construction management or engineering is preferred, along with relevant experience in powerhouse or substation environments.
- Proficiency in essential software tools and higher-level mathematics.
- Physical capability to perform tasks in outdoor environments and on uneven surfaces.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
