Metal Spinning Machinist

At SpaceX, we are actively developing the technologies to make human life on Mars possible. To achieve this goal, we need skilled professionals to operate and maintain our CNC and manual spin lathe machines.

The Metal Spinning Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating these machines, completing spin forming operations from written and verbal instructions, and sustaining the machines through operator preventative maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a large machine operator or spin form technician. They will also have lifting and rigging experience, heat treating experience, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

Additionally, the candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted, work all required shift hours, and be willing to work overtime as necessary. They must also be willing and able to tolerate loud noise levels and heat.
