Job Title: Advanced Practitioner

Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the effectiveness of our clinics by identifying patient care issues and providing recommendations for improvement.
  2. Assess patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and medical histories.
  3. Determine abnormal conditions by administering diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
  4. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  5. Perform therapeutic procedures, such as administering injections and immunizations.
  6. Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and wellness practices.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies.
  8. Protect patients and employees by following federal, state, and local regulations.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry developments by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  10. Develop and maintain a high-performing healthcare team by providing training and growth opportunities.
Requirements
  1. A Master's degree and certification by a recognized Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certifying body.
  2. Current DEA license with no restrictions.
  3. BLS certification.
  4. Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care settings is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  1. Customer service principles and practices.
  2. Federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  3. Computerized information systems used in business and clinical management.
  4. Relevant drugs and patient care aids.
  5. Current medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment principles.
Expectations
  1. Work collaboratively with other providers and healthcare practitioners to deliver efficient patient care.
  2. Prepare accurate and complete medical records for each patient.
  3. Devote additional time to attend to patient care, complete paperwork, and perform administrative duties.
  4. Develop daily work schedules, vacation time, and on-call schedules with other ConvenientMD-employed practitioners.
  5. Represent and promote ConvenientMD's services and benefits to the community.
  6. Conduct yourself in a professional manner and communicate with others in a timely and respectful manner.
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, with some bending and stooping required.
  2. Manual dexterity for clinical requirements.
  3. Lift up to 50lbs.
